3 POPULAR BOOKS THAT I DONT LIKE
I know there are tons of books out there that people love to read and are super popular. Some have sold millions of copies and have the best reviews but sometimes when I try reading those books I feel like 'Nah, this isnt something I like'. Now in no way I am trying to say that these books are bad or overatted. All I am trying to say is that these books are not really my thing and I didnt really like them. Ofcourse if you like then you can try reading these books but here is my personal opinion on these books
1. The Cruel PrinceThis is a very popular book by Holly Black and its actually the first book in the Folk of the Air trilogy realeased in January 2018. It has a goodreads rating of 4.1 stars and it was a highly recommened book. So I decided to read it but I was a bit dissapointed in it. Its a fantasy book and was not really what I usually read so I just stopped halfway through. The reason was the characters werent really interesting. The main character, Jude is not written properly in my opinion and the decisions she says make no sense. Some Amazon reviews even stated that the it is 'voilence and cruetly disguised as bravery and strength'
2.Shadow and BoneShadow and Bone the first book in the Grisha trilogy and its a the debut novel by Leigh Bardugo. It has also been adapted as a Netflix series and is really popular. Now the overall storyline is quite good by I found 2 problems. The first the bland writing. As someone who has read several books before I didnt find the writing quite realistic. Its sort of unimaginitive and generic and I didnt get the feel of being there which I usually get. Another problem was the characters. Mainly Alina Starkov, the main character. She is shown to be really unimpressive in my opinion. She is like those typical pretty-but-thinks-she-is-plain girl when she is powerful, kind and with no flaws at all. While to some people might see this as low self esteem it clearly isnt. Even the others characters are stereotypical and unimaginitive.
3.King of ScarsAnother book by Leigh Bardugo and I must say. This book wasnt all bad. The plot twist and the ending were fantastic but characters were dissapointing. The Darkling, Zoya and The Saints were mainly the bad written characters in this book but I will say that this book is much better than Shadow and Bone. You can just see the improvement with discriptions and writings but I would still add it on this list since it isnt really worth the hype.~Avani Endait

Another book by Leigh Bardugo and I must say. This book wasnt all bad. The plot twist and the ending were fantastic but characters were dissapointing.
