BOOKS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
[According to age groups]
1.Geronimo Stilton [8-10 years old]
Cant point out one. All of them are amazing and no I havent read all of them. The books are about Geronimo Stilton who is a journalist and how he goes on adventures to different places in the world. And how he sometimes ends up embarassing himself cause you know..he's a journalist and you cant expect him to be a pro at saving the world(or his reputation).Last I checked (which I admit was pretty long ago) there were 70+ books. But dont worry, its not like you have to read it from the start. Its not a series, you can start from any book. If you ask me my favourite one is definitely the Golden Staue plot. Also did I mention its a world of mice and there are a lot of cheese puns.
2. Dork Diaries: TV star [8-13 years old]
A perfect book for middle graders. Although I love the entire Dork Diaries series I would describe the best out of all so far. We all have moments where we feel like "Dang, I wish I had my own reality show like Keeping up with the Kardashians" but trust me, its not that cool. The book will reveal all the behind the scenes of how it is to have a TV show when you're still in school. Imagine how wierd it would be when you walk down the hallway with a camera crew and all of a sudden you trip and fall on your face and the camera crew captures everything and the entire country watches you. And it doesnt help when your arch nemesis is beyond jealous and is always plotting plans to embarass you.
3.Percy Jackson and the Battle of Labyrinth [12-16 years old]
I cant end this post without a Percy Jackson mention. I love the entire series but if I had to pick one I would say the battle of labyrinth. Imagine if you find a maze under your camp and realise that the maze it going to lead to your death because a world famous(or atleast Greece famous) villian is on his way. And he has an army of monsters supporting him. Talk about squad goals. But the only way for you to avoid the destruction is by going in the maze and getting a magic item. Unfortunately the magic item is in the middle of the maze and getting there is not easy since the maze is designed to drive you crazy. But you are a risktaker so in you go along with a couple of your friends only to realise some really tragic things
4. Shadow and Bone [12-16 years old]
This book has already been adapted as a Netflix series but is most known for the book. The plot is so unique. You might find it a bit confusing at first but the its worth the starting confusion. Its about Alina Starkov, a soldier, who has to survive her first trek at Shadow Fold mountain. But when her regiment is attacked Alina unleashes dormant magic which she didnt even know she had. Now she must train with the Grisha girls and realises that she has to unlock the secrets of her past to save everyone from Ravka. Now thats a tough job
5. Destination Unknown [14-17 years old]
If you a detective book addict then I highly recommened this book by Agatha Christie. Its like the book adaptation of James Bond movies minus the high security systems. Dont mind if there's no high tech gadgets in it, afterall the book was published back it the 1950s or somthing. This book will you a thrilling experience and at one point I literally started to see myself as the spy. Thats how good the book is. And come on most of us have always had that one moment when we think " I wish I could be a spy" and this book will give you the most thrilling experience of being a regular person from Casablanca(somewhere in North Africa) to a spy who will find out where all the world's leading scientists have disappeared.
Part 2 coming soon
